The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) and WorkAbility (WA) are divisions of the Special Education Department.  These programs continue the Poway Unified School District mission of "excellence in all we do."  Although there have been many changes and much growth over the years, what remains constant is our commitment to providing quality services to our students, leading to their successful inclusion as adults in the community.  Whether it is providing that vital first paid employment experience or assisting students in developing their goals; the program staff believes in the value of promoting career and technical education. 

 

TRANSITION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (TPP)
The Transition Partnership Program is a partnership between Poway Unified School District and the California State Department of Rehabilitation.  The program is designed to insure a smooth transition from school to work for seniors in high school who have a physical, mental or learning disability.  Some services that are available through the program include:

• Career exploration
• Career guidance counseling
• Equipment needed for school and/or work
• Job development assistance
• Resume and portfolio development
• Training and education
• Transportation assistance
• Tuition and books for school
• Vocational assessment
