Poway BTSA Induction
Welcome to the Poway BTSA Induction program. The Poway BTSA Induction is a component of the Poway Professional Assistance Program and provides support for teachers who are newly credentialed and/or require induction to Clear their Multiple and/or Single Subject Preliminary Credential.
The Poway BTSA Induction program is a two-year program that provides individualized support based on the participating teacher’s needs. As a participant in the program, teachers are assigned a Teacher Consultant, who is released full time from their classroom teaching responsibilities, to provide support for the participating teacher in their professional growth and demonstration of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP), Induction Program Standards, California Content Area Standards, and State Frameworks.
A teacher is eligible for the Poway BTSA Induction program if they are a contracted teacher of record in a K-12 setting for PUSD and hold:
BTSA eligible:
- A preliminary or professional clear credential and are in the first or second year of teaching on that credential
- An out-of-state teaching credential with less than two years experience
- A preliminary Level I Ed. Specialist Instruction Credential
Induction required:
- A preliminary Multiple/Single Subject Credential requiring the completion of an approved Induction program as a pathway to a Clear Credential.
