On February 4, there will be a School-Wide Spelling Bee for seventh and eighth grade students who are eligible to compete at the county and national levels. Our school winner will go to the County Bee on March 24. Sixth graders will have their own Spelling Bee on January 21. Language Arts teachers conduct Classroom Spelling Bees to choose a winner for each of their sections. The student who places second in each section becomes the alternate if the winner is unable to participate. Supportive materials are available online at www.myspellit.com. Students may print copies from home or request a copy from the library. On the day of each school Spelling Bee, the classroom first place winners will be served lunch prior to the start of their competition. Parents of participating students are welcome to attend the Spelling Bees that will be held in the Library during both Bobcat Times.
