Program requirements:
The State of California and the San Diego
County Office of Education have tightened the attendance
requirements for all before and after-school programs that
are funded through the After-School Education and Safety (ASES)
initiative. Since these programs are free of charge
we must follow these requirements in order to continue
providing programming for our students. We are
required to use an automated sign-in/sign-out system this
year which will report attendance directly to SDCOE.
Unfortunately students will be dropped from the program (by
SDCOE) if they do not meet the requirements or follow the
times noted on their late arrival/early release forms.
Attendance Guidelines are:
- Before-School Program: A minimum of 3 days/week
(with student arriving by 7:30).
- After-School Program: A minimum of 3 days/week and 9
hours/week. The 9 hour requirement can be waived if
an approved Early Release form is submitted. The 3
day/week requirement cannot be waived. We
cannot accommodate students on a “drop-in” basis.
Program Activities:
- Before-School Program: Supervised activities in the gym,
Bobcat Center, library and computer lab.
- After-School Program: Academic support and homework,
recreational sports, arts and crafts, computers,
electronic and board games, cooking. Click below on
