2013-2014 New Student Enrollment

Welcome to Tierra Bonita!

TBES K-5 New Student Enrollment for the 2013-14 school year is Tuesday, May 7th from 8 to 10:30am in the Multi-Purpose Room. We highly suggest that you review the new guidelines for Kindergarten and Transition Kindergarten prior to enrollment.

  • Your child must be 5 years of age ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2013 to enroll in Kindergarten.
  • Children whose fifth birthdays are OCTOBER 2, 2013 through DECEMBER 2, 2013 who enroll will be placed in Transitional Kindergarten.
  • Children with fifth birthdays between June 1st and October 1st may enroll in TK as space is available on a first-come first-served basis. These students MUST place their name on the District Interest Wait List.


  K-5 New Student Enrollment: May 7th, 2013
8:00 a.m.    Sign in, provide documents for photocopying, submit enrollment packets
8:30 a.m.    Mr. Erpelding, Principal, will introduce staff and answer questions
8:45 a.m.    Current kindergarten students will perform
9:00 a.m.    Group tours of the campus
& 9:30 a.m. (two tour groups)
9:45 a.m.    Finalize enrollment paperwork


All new students must complete the District forms on the PUSD enrollment page. Forms for the 2013-14 school year will be available on May 1st. Forms are updated annually and we can not accept forms from previous years.

Please bring all completed District and site specific forms (see below) and the documentation described below on May 7th. Students are considered "enrolled" when all District and site specific forms have been completed and returned to us and the following documentation has been provided:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization Records
  • Residency Verification
  • Physical Exam- Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP), Required for students entering 1st grade
  • Dental Screening- Oral Health Assessment, CA requirement for students entering a CA school for the first time

Also, please note that enrollment is different than registration, which is required of all new and returning students and takes place in August. Please remember that you must also complete the registration process in August to verify your student will be joining us for the new school year.
