SCHOOL WIDE INFORMATION

8th GRADE DISNEYLAND TRIP - Saturday, March 24th

Attention all 8th Graders the Disneyland Trip is officially scheduled for March 24th. Tickets will be $90. This includes a ticket into Disneyland and transportation. If you have a Premium Pass it will be only $30 for transportation. Sales begin February 6-17. How to Protect Our Kids from the Dangers of Synthetic Drugs

Come learn about the new and dangerous synthetic drugs: Bath Salts, Spice, and K2 that are available to your students in our own communities

February 15 at the Poway High Performing Arts Center in partnership with the Poway High PTSA. 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Parents, students and all community members are invited to attend.

Resources and handouts regarding substance abuse will be available.

MATH FACTS REVIEW AND PRACTICE

The websites listed below have excellent games, reviews, and timed tests to stay sharp and practice your math facts over the holiday break. Take a little time while you are off and check them out. It is important to do something academic everyday while on break. Happy Holidays Rams.

6th GRADE CAMP - February 13 - 17, 2012

6th graders will be attending the Outdoor Education Program at Camp Cuyamaca the week of February 13, 2012.   Camp registration forms and payment must be received by Friday, January 20th.   If your student will be taking medication at camp, the medical authorization form is also due at that time.   For further information please call 748-5131 x2808.

Twin Peaks Middle School Check-in and Check-out Procedures

“Part of our responsibility as a school is to make sure that we provide a reliably secure environment for our students. As such, it is important to note that our campus opens promptly at 8:00 each morning and is closed throughout the day until 3:15 in the afternoon. Additionally, we have new Check-in and Check-out Procedures for our visitors, so please review them below.

Visitor Check-in Procedures
1. All visitors must check in and receive a Twin Peaks Visitor’s Badge from the administration office.
2. Visitors on non-school (personal) business shall be escorted by an administrator or designee**.
3. Parent/students who plan to have lunch-time parties are encourage to do so off-campus or at a designated on-site location. Parents must be escorted by an administrator or designee**.
4. Students may not be checked out of school after 2:45pm.

After School Procedures
Visitors or individuals who are here to pick up students will not be allowed on campus, until the campus is clear and students have departed.

** Designees include: Assistant Principals, Counselors, or Lead Custodian
