To help you practice the words and how to use them, you need to write a sentence using each word, correctly demonstrating your understanding of the vocabulary. Your 10 sentences are due on Monday by noon. Your quiz on this week's 10 words and 10 words from the previous six weeks will be on lab day. These words are taken from a list of commonly-tested SAT words, and they are words you will come across in literature.

9. benevolent -- (adj.) friendly and helpful
10. impetuous -- (adj.) rash, impulsive, acting without thinking
