Monday - Tuesday - You will need your textbook to complete the Cold War Timeline/Outline. Please trust me and divide this assignment up. You do not want to try and complete it in one night! Your completed, typed timeline is due to me on Thursday. Please print it up and bring it to class with you.

Lab Day-  Today, we will have a simulation of Cold War tensions by playing the game Brinkmanship. Be sure to bring your textbook to class with you!

Friday- President Truman realized that in the words of Winston Churchill

" From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic an iron curtain has descended across the Continent. Behind that line lie all the capitals of the ancient states of Central and Eastern Europe. Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Belgrade, Bucharest and Sofia; all these famous cities and the populations around them lie in what I must call the Soviet sphere, and all are subject, in one form or another, not only to Soviet influence but to a very high and in some cases increasing measure of control from Moscow. "With that realization came " The Truman Doctrine ". This was our response to Soviet actions. Read the Truman Doctrine and answer the following 4 questions.   (A-16) History Social Science Standard 11.9.3
