Ever wonder how April Fool's Day began? Visit the April Fool's Day website to find out. 

Monday-   I have divided the Space Race into 3 sections. Section 1 covers the years 1946-1959. Section 2 covers the decade of the 1960's. The 3rd section covers 1970 to the present. 
For each of the sections, describe in a couple of sentences which nation (US or SU) made the most significant achievements in the area of technology. Be sure to include specific examples.
Now, once you have done that, in a paragraph, which nation was the overall winner of the space race? Be sure to include a couple of examples to prove your point. ( A-20) History Social Science Standard 11.9.3

Read pages 670-676 and answer questions 1-4 and 11-13 on page 692. (T-14) Due Friday

Tuesday-   Listen to the Cold War lecture. This lecture will serve as a review for your Cold War unit exam.  This study guide should help prepare you for the exam.

Lab Day-  We will start today with an exam on the Cold War (1945-1960). After the test, we will  see several segments from "Our World" They will focus on Levittown, the Checkers Speech, Eisenhower vs. Stevenson, and the Cure for Polio. You will answer these questions while watching the segments.

Friday-  To provide you with s a little more background on John F. Kennedy, read J.F.K.'s background. Then I will teach you about the rise of John F. Kennedy
