FIELD TRIP TO JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT'S BIZTOWN FOR GRADE 5
Currently seeking sponsors for Field Trips to Biz-Town for our 5th grade students. Currently 10 elementary schools are without funding for this valuable hands-on career exploration experience. The cost for each student is $25 which includes transportation. If you are interested in supporting this memorable day in the life of a 5th grade student, please call the Partners in Education office at (858) 668-4031.
PROJECT LEAD THE WAY
Financial support is needed for the expansion of our Project Lead The Way Program to high schools and middle schools throughout the District. Project Lead The Way (PLTW) prepares students to be the most innovative and productive leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and to make meaningful, pioneering contributions to our world. PLTW partners with middle schools and high schools to provide a rigorous, relevant STEM education. Through an engaging, hands-on curriculum, PLTW encourages the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking, creative and innovative reasoning, and a love of learning. The PLTW middle and high school STEM education programs give students a brighter future by providing them with a foundation and proven path to college and career success in STEM-related fields.
FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION
Financial support and sponsorship are needed for robotics programs at our elementary, middle, and high schools to cover entry fees, travel expenses, and program supplies. Volunteers are also needed as team advisors. Through our robotics programs, students learn the importance and value of teamwork, acquire self-confidence, and improve communication, problem-solving and leadership skills.
CAREER, TECHNICAL, AND ADULT EDUCATION
Seeking camera equipment for the high school Digital Media Production classes at Poway, Rancho Bernardo , Westview, and Mt. Carmel High Schools.
