Fourth
and Fifth grade teachers who have been reviewing the new Academic
Standards in Science may have recognized the need for more resources
to teach various topics in meteorology. Visit the new Weather
Links page developed specifically to provide some of the best online
resources available.
On
Scholastic this month your students have the opportunity to join a
discussion group and post questions for Mike
Thaler, author of the Black Lagoon series of books. (The Gym
Teacher from the Black Lagoon, The Principal from the Black Lagoon...)
Have you discovered a

Click on the Spotlight above to link to a review of this month's
software: That's
A Fact Jack! Read by
Tom Snyder Productions and Jellyvision. This program
employs an Interactive Game Show format to help students review
literature. Questions in this program require students to
demonstrate their comprehension of literature at a factual as well
as analytical level. During the game show students are asked
to respond to literal, inferential and hypothetical questions or
to support or reject literary hypotheses. |
