Resizing Photos When posting photos to the web, size is a key factor in determining the amount of time it will take for the page to download. You'll want to keep your photos under 300 wide, preferably in the 150-250 pixels wide range. If you resize your photo under picture properties in FrontPage, the program will still be pulling your photo in at the original size and then "resizing" it for viewing on the page. That is not a good solution for you because the time for loading is still unacceptable. So, we need to use a photo resizing program. Use your favorite photo editing software to get the best results. Or use Microsoft Photo Editor, found under programs>Microsoft Office Tools> Microsoft Photo Editor. If you don't have access to good photo editing software, you can download a free program called: PIXresizer It will allow you to resize single images or a batch of images to save time. Another free program that can resize your photos while also allowing you to adjust brightness, sharpness, contrast, and photo quality is EasyThumbnails. Because you want larger photos than thumbnails, just choose 300 pixels for the maximum height and width and it will automatically resize for you.
