The California STAR Writing Assessment
On January 27, 2003 several schools participated in an inservice
by Suzi Smith from the SD County Office of Education. Her
presentation, Writing Under Pressure, included major
points to be included on the STAR Writing in 4th grade. Many
4th grade teachers requested that the information be made
available on this web site. Access to the bulleted lists of
genre features is now available by clicking the genres to the
