2013 Red Ribbon Week Quotes
We wanted to say Thank You to all those who participated during Red Ribbon Week and Character Counts! It was a fun and exciting 5 days with a fun run, canned food drive, and a The Importance of Staying Drug Free quote contest. The following quotes were pulled from the many quotes we received and Principal Donnelly read them at Friday Flag because they were most reflective of what Red Ribbon Week’s message is.
“It mens that you ned to exercise a lot. And you ned to be strong when people offer you drugs.” Rachel, F6
“Drugs can hurt you rily bad. Cigarettes can cause cancer.” Reed, F8
“It’s inportent to me to stay drug free because I want to reach my dreams. Staying drug free will make that possible!” Hannah, E5
“To me, being drug-free is important because it keeps me healthy, smart, and independent to make my own choices. I know what is good for me, and I know not to take drugs I don’t need.” Radhika, E9
“Drugs are like cheating at a board game. People cheat at board games and they try to use drugs to cheat at life. Drugs don’t work. They will hurt you instead of helping you. Instead of giving you a better life they will ruin your life.” Isabella, B4
“DRUG-FREE means to me staying away from people who sell drugs and people who use drugs.” Michael, B8
“IT KILLS YOUR BRAIN.” Anonymous
“…that I will always be clear headed and my body will stay strong.” Antonia, B8
“I am never going to college if I do things like smoke and drink drugs and other things like that.” Andrew, F8
“My future and my life. If I remain drug free I can have a good family, a good education, and a good job. Instead of being stuck up on the those horrible things I’d like to get a Phd and move on to become a better person, studying for the wellfare of others.” John, B7
“You can run fast.” Mollie, D8
“Staying healthy and reaching my goals like riding on my bike and ride 21 miles on my bike.” Nathan, C8
“So I can live a long and healthy life.” Madeleine, E4
