I currently teach 1st grade at Creekside. I have spent most of my 20+ years teaching first grade, with 9 of those years teaching a multiage 1-2 class.  I grew up in Bakersfield, went to Fresno State, then married Ray, (my high school sweetheart), and moved frequently due to his having been in the Air Force. After 17 moves we have happily settled in Ramona. We have two boys; Keith, who works in Hollywood and Seth, currently working here in San Diego. When I'm not working, I am reading, quilting, or enjoying time with family and friends. 

Deborah Hibbs

I have been teaching for 22 years--all in Poway.  I came to Creekside when it opened and have loved every minute of being here!  Our community of students, parents, and staff is unmatched anywhere.  My favorite grades to teach are first and second and I love "looping" with my students.  Outside of school, I like to read, quilt, knit, scrapbook and my newest adventure--making my own greeting cards!

Lisa Ransom

I have been teaching since 1999.  I taught 1st grade for 5 years in the Bay Area, and have been teaching K or 1st since moving to PUSD in 2005.  I live with my husband and two children Nate and Courtney in Rancho Bernardo.  When I'm not at school you can find me watching my kids play sports, reading a book, decorating my home or hanging out with my family.  My family loves to go on extreme hiking vacations, especially when a swimming hole is involved!  Although, since breaking my ankle jumping off of a waterfall, we might have to scale those back a bit.  Five star resort, anyone?

My teaching career began in 2000 in my hometown-Virginia Beach. I moved to Sunny San Diego in 2003 and was excited to be hired in Poway Unified. I LOVE teaching at Creekside! My husband, AJ, and I keep busy with our three awesome kids--Brianna, Kaylee and Brady. Teaching is my true passion and I can't think of a better place to be!
