Principal’s Message August 2011
Dear Canyon View Families,
As principal at Canyon View, I am looking forward to working with our terrific community of parents, students, and staff during the upcoming 2011-2012 school year. The staff and I will be working together during the month of August to prepare for the start of the new school year on August 24th. Here are a few points of interest for parents:
- Registration dates and times are listed on the front page of our website as are times to enroll new students to our school.
- Kindergarten parents are invited to a Kindergarten Orientation from 9:00 to 9:30 on August 23rd . Kindergarten students will only attend from 8:05 until 11:25 from August 24th to October 3rd. On October 3rd, Kindergarten students will attend all day from 8:05 until 2:05 for the remainder of the school year.
- School begins promptly at 8:05 and learning will begin at that time. Please make every effort to have your child here by 8:00. Dismissal will be at 2:05.
- Our annual Back to School Night for 1st through 5th grade parents will be held on September 1st from 6:00 to 7:00. More details to follow.
Parents, please make sure the office has up-to-date phone numbers and email addresses. We will be sending out weekly school information through email. If there is a problem during school hours it is very important that we have current phone numbers where we can reach you. Thank you so much for your attention to this important matter.
I always look forward to meeting the parents of our students so please stop by and introduce yourself when you have time. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me or any of our staff members.
