Minimizing Classroom Disruptions
Imagine being in the middle of teaching a lesson, only to have the phone ring multiple times to pass messages to students. It can be disruptive to students and the teacher. There are times when emergencies occur, and these calls need to be made. Most days, though, if parents communicate with their child before school and provide a note to the teacher about appointments and who is picking the child up from school, there is no need for an interrupting phone call to the classroom. If lunches need to be delivered, please take them to the office where students can collect them at their breaks. By planning ahead with good communication, we can limit classroom disruptions.
