Curriculum
The 6th grade program emphasizes skill and fitness development, in accordance with student needs. At the beginning of the school year students are assigned a team of teachers and stay with those teachers throughout the year. The focus of 6th grade physical education is allowing each student to acquire knowledge and skills and to participate in experiences that will encourage a lifetime interest in sports and fitness. These skills will be taught through activities such as flag football, volley tennis, and track and field that are designed to develop foot-eye, hand-eye, and rhythm and movement skills. In addition to skill and fitness development, self-responsibility, building self esteem and good sportsmanship are emphasized.
The Mustang 7th-8th grade physical education program emphasizes skill and fitness development, in accordance with student needs.
