Meadowbrook Connect Ed Messages

Hello, this is Dr. Miguel Carrillo, proud Principal of Meadowbrook Middle School.

First- To ride the Late Activity Bus, which leaves Meadowbrook at 3:40 p.m., riders must have a signed pass from the teacher they were with after school. The pass is proof that the student was in a supervised after-school activity. Beginning tomorrow, Monday, April 30, students who do not have a pass will be denied access to the Activity Bus.

Second– Meadowbrook Middle School’s Annual Career Fair is getting closer. The purpose of the Career Fair is to provide students with a forum to explore future career options. We would like to invite parents to participate and have the opportunity to share their careers. This is the perfect opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Meadowbrook students by connecting them to resources available in our business community. If you are interested in participating on Friday, May 18th, please contact Carmen Aguilar, Student Services Specialist, via email (caguilar@powayusd.com) or at 748-0802 Ext. 2190.

Third – The next Brick Oven Pizzeria fundraising evening to help support the Meadowbrook Educational Foundation, will be on Tuesday, May 8th.

Fourth – I want to thank all of you who get your children to school on-time. We have noticed an increase in the number of students arriving late to school each morning. Please work with your child to arrive at school on time. Late arriving students cause a disruption to the learning activities taking place in class

Fifth- Parents –Please be looking for your child’s progress notice. They were sent home this past Friday, April 27th. Thank you.

Lastly – Parents: On Tuesday, June 5th school will start at 7:40 a.m. instead of 8:55 a.m. Please mark your calendars.
