PTA Wants You!
We are looking for parents (not only moms) to help us with these program committees for the 2012/2013 school year:
- Character Counts (Chairperson is Janna Wernli)
This group with come up with fun ways to promote the Character Pillars, and also coordinate Red Ribbon Week. - Family Events (Chairperson is Jen Boles) This group will organize the Back to School Event, Multi-Culteral Night and the End of Year Event.
- Membership (Chairperson is Martina Crosbie) Work together with other board members to come up with a PTA theme and promote membership. Will also need one person to manage the member database (this would be perfect for a working parent, as it can be done at home).
- Fundraising (Chairperson TBD)
Look over ideas for Fall and Spring fundraising activities and organize these events.
There will be training and/or guidance for all of these positions, so no experience is necessary!
The PTA can't pull off any of these programs without help from YOU, our parent volunteers. If you would like to help without a sizable time commitment, then these committee positions are for you! With an all-new Board, this is your time. Please let me know if you're ready to take the plunge!
PTA Service Awards
Download the form on which you can nominate someone for a service award. The types of award are listed on the back. If you have someone you'd like to nominate, please print the form, fill it out, and leave it in Kristin's folder in the YO room as soon as possible (the nominating committee meets Monday 4/23).
