Character Counts at Morning Creek Elementary
THE COLT WAY- “Do the right thing, even when no one is watching.”
Classrooms hold morning meetings and greet one another to build community within the class and across the school. We help students understand that they make character count by making good choices, even when no one is watching.
We recite our Colt Way Pledge at each Friday Flag:
I will be trustworthy. I will be respectful. I will be responsible. I will be fair. I will be caring. I will be a good citizen.

Trustworthiness:
Always tell the truth * Admit your mistakes * Do your own work * Be reliable – do what you say you’ll do * Have the courage to do the right thing * Build a good reputation * Be loyal – stand by your family, friends, and country
Respect:

Responsibility:
Always do your best * Use self control; be self-disciplined * Think before you act – consider the consequences * Be accountable for your choices * Stay in assigned areas * Be prepared * Be on time
Fairness:
