Happy New Year Everybody!
I wanted to thank you all for all the support and hard work during marching band season and through the holiday concerts. As usual you were all there when things needed done and we made it through the marching season successfully. It was nice to see the reintroduction of the color guard this year. I think they really added to the field show. As usual the kids did a fantastic job on the field show and the end of year concert. I am continually amazed at the complexity of the field show and the professionalism the kids have while performing, whether it is during the marching season or in a concert setting. What a good group of kids!
I would especially like to thank the following people:
- The Disney land crew: Tony Pellegrino, Ron Gima, Randy Carpentier., and Howard Nordoff. ( You are brave souls!)
- The trailer towing crew: - Kevin Gunning, Howard Nordoff, Tony Pellegrino, Tom St Martin
- The truck drivers: Jay Tilson, Randy Carpentier, Kevin Gunning and Dave Boudreau
- The Trailer God: Dave Turner assisted this year by Tony Pellegrino.
- The Original Band Dad: Joseph Tulane.
- Everyone who was at the events to help whenever and for whatever was needed: Steve Henderson, Steve Yonekura, Dave Stiener, Jim Pierce, Elio Oikawa, Ganlin Xu, Jay Heaney, Stan Blackburn, David Abramson, Craig Wigda, Craig Sherman, Chuck Fabijanic, Tony Jr. Campbell, Scott Farrell, Bernie Abramson, Steve Maasz, Ellwin Bondoc, Jeffery Su, Tim Rickard, Steve Kolokowsky.
For anyone I may have missed, my apologies and please know that your efforts were definitely appreciated.
On behalf of the Band Dads I would like to thank all the Band Moms for all their help and support as well. Kathleen Sorenson, Kathy Gima, Flora, Belle 'on the go' Chu, and Barbara Alvarez thanks for keeping us busy. Flora thanks for the water and feeding us. Nina Burkhart thank you for doing all the web page updates.
Also thanks to Ms. Webb, Mrs. Kitelinger and the entire teaching and coaching staff for putting in so much time and effort with the kids and making the band program as rich and complete as it is.
Finally, please join me in congratulating Howard Nordoff as the incoming head Band Dad.
I hope you all had a happy and safe holidays.
