TEE SHIRT FOR SALE, ONLY $12,487.52

Do you want a really cool tee shirt? Color, black, your size, and big gold letters on the back that say “BAND DAD”, price, just $12,487.52. While this might sound a bit expensive, there is another way to get a shirt rather than just buying one. The reason you want one of these shirts is because the guys who wear them get lots of respect because all the Westview Gold and most of the other bands in the south west know that you belong to that great group of guys that do whatever needs to be done, at all hours of the day and night, rain or shine, to insure that the Gold are good to go!! We build whatever needs to be built, load the trucks, push the pit, fix anything that breaks, and we even have time to hang out in the shade now and then while we enjoy a sandwich and soda.

Now to plan B:

If this sounds like something you want to be part of (and it should) but you don’t want to spend the big bucks, you can earn your shirt by just putting in some time. We need about six to ten dads (in addition to all the Moms and other folks that help out) each time we go to a field show to load, drive, unload, set out the uniforms, move the pit, do the show, load, drive, unload,etc….well you get the picture. Sounds like a lot of work but it’s fun and easy. The added bonus is if you feel like it you can always find someway to embarrass your kid! (Just a little payback for the last bit of attitude your kid shared with you) There is much more to being a BAND DAD than just this, we serve the band all year long. You don’t need to know a lot about anything to be part of this gang. Whatever you know how to do we can use your skills and effort. Give it a try, you will love it, the band will love you for doing it and yes, you will get a shirt worth at least $12,487.52 for free!
