Sunday, Oct 24th at the Pick-up Stix by the school (Albertson shopping center). The band will get 20% of any dine-in, take-out, phone-in or catering order placed that day. Download Flyer.

The Mount Carmel Tournament will be here soon.
Please contact Craig Sherman to reserve your tickets. If
you just drop your order in the White Box without sending Craig an email, your
order may be delayed. This year they are not reserving individual seats, but all
of Westview tickets are together.
Come out and support your student and Westview Gold.
MC ticket = $9 for now; $10 at the door.

NEW WHITE BAND UNIFORM PANTS
We hope to have our uniform pants in time for the tournament. Please note that it is not necessary to purchase white shorts to wear under the uniform pants. Any color is fine. Black socks are required for all marching band performances regardless of whether students are wearing the black or white pants
Cookie Dough Orders Pickup
Dough arrives frozen and must be picked up after school on Delivery Day, Thursday November 4th. Thanks for your support of our band kids!
STUDENT ACCOUNTS
Each time your student particpates in a fundraising activity, money is deposited in your student's account. Thanks to Karen Henderson, you can now access you student' account balance via the band website. Just go to the Student Account page and set up a username and password to access your account.
A note from Great Lakes:
On September 10, 2010, Claim Jumper Restaurants voluntarily filed for
Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. Great Lakes Scrip Center
recommends that families use any Claim Jumper Gift Cards, as soon as
possible. The gift cards will no longer be available, until they
emerge from bankruptcy. Great Lakes Scrip Center will not accept
returns of Claim Jumper Gift Cards.
TRIP PERMIT
Please make sure that your student returns the completed trip permit to Miss Webb by Friday. Download form
SCRIP CARD SALES
Go Online to purchase gift cards for many local and online retailers. Use the gift cards for your own use or for presents. Check with your place of business to see if they would be willing to purchase gift cards for company use. Purchase some gift cards for Subway or Pick up Stix if your student needs to stay after school and has to pick up dinner (or lunch for seniors who go off campus). Do you make a run to Starbucks every morning? Buy Starbucks cards to use everyday. This is a great way to raise money for your student's account. The retailer gives a rebate to the band on purchases, 80% goes into your student's account. Remember the money earned for a student's account can be used for fairshare payments, reeds, strings, valve oil, lessons, music and other band, orchestra and colorguard related expenses.

The order has been submitted and when it comes in, everyone will be
notified by email with options to pick up their cards.
THE NEXT SCRIP
ORDER DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 11TH.
Orders go in the white box or by 6:00pm at Mary's house. The next deadlines will be Nov. 8 and Dec. 6, all Mondays.

MB UNIFORM SEWING PARTY
We need help with uniform alterations. The sewing team will be meeting for the
next few Tuesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 in the band room to work on the uniforms. If
you do not sew, we could still use help with ironing. If you can't come for the
whole time, just drop by when you can. This is a great way to get to know other
band parents. The team always has a great time talking while they are sewing.
CALENDAR
A new Google calendar has been placed on the Calendar page of the website. This calendar will be updated by the staff on a regular basis.

CHECKS
When you send in checks, please write a seperate check for each contribution and or item you are purchasing (e.g., if you are sending in money for your fair share donations and booster membership, please write a seperate check for booster membership and a seperate check for your fair share donation.) The seperate checks make it easier to maintain the books.
SMART MUSIC
The form to order Smart Music is attached. If you would like to order Smart Music for your student, please have your student give Miss Webb the form and check made out to Westview for $25.50

BOOSTERS
Download booster membership forms. Joining the boosters is a great way to support Westview Gold. If you have not already joined, please download and read the membership form. Gold Level booster members get 1 free ticket to the Winter Show ($10 value) and 1 free ticket to the End of the Year Show ($10) value, as well as a 10% discount on music accessories at Bertrand's.
FAIR SHARE DONATION REMINDER
The payment for the second half of the Fair Share Donation was due on October 1st. If you have not already paid, please make the check out to Westview Foundation. Please put your student's name and Fair Share in the memo.
