Marching Band

Marching Band is a course that runs concurrent with band classes (Concert Band II, Concert Band I, Wind Ensemble, and Instrumental Ensemble).  Marching season is in the fall and therefore Marching Band is offered Quarter I only and rehearses during the school day, Wednesday evenings, and occasionally on additional evenings/weekends.  Attendance at all rehearsals and all performances is mandatory.  Students earn five credits of PE which can be applied toward the district PE requirement.  Students may waive ENS 3-4 if they complete two quarters of Marching Band.  Students may waive the additional 5 credits of PE if they complete a third quarter of Marching Band.  Marching Band is designed to develop a well-coordinated and precise marching unit.  Students will learn to prepare and execute marching, dance and drill routines.  All marching band members are required to take this course.
