Grave Dig (in class) Work Rules 2011:

    A. Students will work quietly, never talking/making noise above a “library whisper”.  No exceptions.

       B. Students will remain on task quietly. No exceptions.

                   C. No socializing! No exceptions.

                    D. All (in class) books, desks, folders, grave artifacts, etc. will be handled/used respectfully/safely at all times and are to be put away/cleaned up before any breaks/students leave the classroom. No exceptions. If you abuse it, then you will lose the opportunity to use it.

       E. All students will come to class each day, prepared, with their materials, research, etc. and ready to work. [It is your responsibility to bring the things you will need.] There is no class time or computers in class for research.

Students- Please, choose to follow these rules and use your time profitably during our in class work time or (1) you will lose this opportunity, (2) add to your homework load, and (3) your citizenship grade will drop accordingly. We cannot allow you to be disruptive/non cooperative for any reason. The choice is yours. Remember, “Three strikes and you’re out”.

I have listened carefully, read the directions for myself , understand my daily responsibilities and the rewards/consequences possible.

Note to all students/parents-These are due back to your editors (and thence to Mr. Sykes) by Tues., 01/07/11,

Late forms will delay your access to the grave dig (no form- no access) and any all books materials provided for this activity without changing the due dates that you will be responsible for meeting. It (as well as any/all late work) will also you cost points from your final grade on this project. I went over (and over) this in class!
