All home work is due the next day unless specified.

Please read every night for at least 15-25  minutes. Read and record on  Read and Record Sheets. 

Don't forget that all papers need a proper heading- First and last name, date and the assignment (example-Rainbow Write, ABC Order, Definitions). Spelling and Math Homework are due everyday!

Daily Math Assignments

Monday- Configuration BoxesWrite your spelling word in the middle. Letters f, h, l, k, t, b, d  above the mid-line, p, q, y, g, j, below the mid-line. Draw boxes around each letter. Bring Library Book  RR 15 minutes

Tuesday-Bring a Valentine for everyone and your 5th grade buddy. ABC Order or Comics-(Use at least 10 of your spelling words) -Library BOOKS DUE!!RR 15 min

Wednesday-Valentines Day! LIBRARY DAY Definitions- Look up your spelling words up in the dictionary. Write down the part of speech. Example n. (noun) and write at least one definition. 10-12 definitions.  15-20 definitions or more for extra credit.  RR 15 minutes

Oral Presentations due February 15

Thursday-MAP Test-Math 8:00 Cheer Spelling OR Slate/Lotion Spelling-Use soap/shaving cream/or lotion and use arm or leg as a slate and write words with your finger. Parents please sign assignment calendar. Read and Record-15-20 minutes

Friday-AB Read Sheet (Hours)-Adobe Bluffs Spirit Day- Wear Red, Black and Grey or AB shirt.

*****Parents-Spelling Lists are for two weeks. If your child is absent on the day of the spelling pre-test (usually given on a Mon.), feel free to administer the list yourself.  If your child misses 5 or less, attach the misspelled words to the Alternative List (5th grade phonetic spelling list from Steck Vaughn spelling series.  If your child misses more than 5 words, it is advisable to stay on  the regular list).
