Parents-Spelling Lists are for two weeks. If your child is absent on the day of the spelling pre-test (usually given on a Mon.), feel free to administer the list yourself (Administer List A ,if your child is a 2nd. grader, Administer List B if your child is a 3rd. grader). If your child misses 4 or less, attach the misspelled words to the Alternative List (5th grade phonetic spelling list from Steck Vaughn spelling series (last year, the 5th grade phonetic Alternative spelling list came from Evan Moore Spelling Program). The alternative lists are not the same as last years. If your child misses more then 4 words, it is advisable to stay on List A or B. |
