Creating an e-mail account
Objective:

To create an e-mail account- if you don’t already have one
Instructions:
- Open your Internet
Browser (Internet Explorer)
- Type in the
address for either yahoo (www.yahoo.com) or hotmail (www.lycos.com)
- Find the link
for e-mail, and create a new account
- You will need
to provide a bunch of information to set up your e-mail account. Do this,
but do not sign up for any additional items to be sent to you.
- DO NOT forget
you password, no one else should know it, and you won’t be able to get in
with out it in the future.
- After creating
your e-mail account, open a new e-mail by selecting the compose tab or button.
(If you are no longer at hotmail or yahoo mail, you must login to your account
using your new password.
- Send me, your
instructor an e-mail. I will provide you with my e-mail address.
- Insert my address
in the "To:" box.
- Insert "(your
name's) first e-mail, Period (your period number)" into the "Subject:" box.
Example: John Doe's first e-mail, Period 2
- Then in the
document window, insert the message, "Just to say hi!" At
the end of your e-mail, type your name. This serves the same purpose
as signing a letter that you handwrite to someone.
- Send the
e-mail to your teacher. Then click on NEXT below
