Create a poetry poster, using a real example you find. You will draw to see which poem type you get!

 

Poetry Poster

You will draw one of the types of poems listed below:

Haiku and Limerick OR Couplet and Sonnet OR Ode

 

Your poem must identify the poetry type, give an example (including the author and your source), make notes on the poem showing how it is an example of your type, and draw a picture to depict the meaning or topic of the poem. 

Picture can be hand-drawn or from computer, but MUST be visual and colorful!

 

Example:

 

Cinquain

Pumpkin (topic of poem, noun, 2-syllable)
Orange and grinning (4-syllables, adjectives)
Sitting on the porch steps (6-syllables, shows action)
I wish you could stay forever (8-syllables, expresses emotion)
Jack-O (synonym for first line, 2-syllables)
