The Constitution Preamble

We the people of the United States, in order to…

1.       form a more perfect union = make a better government

2.     establish justice = establish fairness and righteousness

3.     secure domestic tranquility = insure peace at home

4.     provide for the common defense = provide protection from other countries

5.     promote the general welfare = make daily life better

6.     secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our prosperity = protect our freedom and our children’s freedom

do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America.
