Tribute to President George Washington

AM Directions:  Read Chapter 4, Sections 1, 2, and 3.  As you read the pages, record answers to all the Checkpoint, Check Your Progress, and Notetaking Study Guides (wkbk pgs 66, 69, 70-72).   After completing the reading and workbook pages, answer the following question.  President Washington helped our country take its first steps.  What strong precedents did he set for those that would follow him?   Glue your work into your social studies spiral.

PM Directions:  Read Chapter 4, Sections 1, 2, and 3.  As you read, record Washington’s accomplishments, write a tribute to be delivered at his funeral.  A tribute is a speech showing respect and gratitude.  Write your tribute for President Washington using your understanding of specifically what he would be honored and remembered for.  This should be in final draft form and at least a complete paragraph long.   Glue your work into your social studies spiral.
