Did you know that Poway is a terrific place to find everything that you and your parents might need? There are places to shop for food, clothes, cars, sports equipment (new and used), crafts (materials and handmade items), pet supplies, and, especially, Beanie Babies.

Hobby supplies Hobby Central Toys Etc. is a great store to shop if you enjoy making rockets, model cars or have a train set. They also have a large selection of Lego and Brio parts. If you are doll collector you are sure to find a Madame Alexander doll, Muffy Bears and other American Bear Co. bears.	Beanie Babies Elams Hallmark The Perfect Card and Gift Toys Etc. Anna's Cards and Gifts has the largest selection of large Beanie Babies in the county.

I love to buy Beanie Babies at Elam's Hallmark. I got my second and third Beanie Babies there. I have at least 85 Beanie Babies. Poway is a great place to shop. (Chris)

Poway has a Farmers Market every Saturday in Old Poway where there are lots of things for sale. You can find flowers, houseplants, vegetable plants, and fresh eggs. Locally grown produce in season include oranges, lemons, tangerines, avocados, strawberries, tomatoes, corn, zucchini, onions, peaches and cucumbers. You can buy honey and local pollen, which my grandfather needs for his allergies. Old Mill fresh baked bread is also a local favorite and for sale most Saturdays at the Farmers Market.

Elam's Hallmark is a cool shop for kids because it has all different kinds of Beanie Babies - old and new. The new ones don't stay on the shelves long at all! I spotted Stinky the Skunk, Snort the Bull, Quackers the Duck and more. Maybe soon they will get Peace the Tie-Dyed Bear! This store also has lots of neat pillow pals which are the bigger version of Beanie Babies.

Elam's Hallmark also has tons of Easter goodies like candy, baskets, books, and stuffed animals. Speaking of stuffed animals, there is a new group of them called Storybook Friends. There are some real cute characters like Lulu the Ladybug, Trevor the Turtle, Gallagher the Goat, Piper the Pony, and Granville the Groundhog, to name a few.

Other fun things for kids are: piggy banks, puzzles, balloons, wind-up hopping chicks, birthday party stuff, stickers, and little handmade ceramic animals. There is even a jelly bean birdhouse dispenser! Kids can also find lots of special gifts for their favorite teacher. For the little kids, Elam's Hallmark has rubber ducks and Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals and books.
