I was hired as a Mathematics Teacher in the Poway
Unified School District in 1993.
I have served on various district committees such as textbook adoption,
academic standards,
curriculum alignment, and assessment.
In 2002,
I participated in the Ilast
program (Improving Learning for
All Students Through Technology).
In 2003, I participated in the Math Plus in Action program.
In 2004, I received my CLAD Credential.
In 2007, I attended the AVID Summer Institute and became an AVID Site Team
member.
I've taught Math at Meadowbrook Middle
School and currently here at
Mesa Verde since it opened in 1994. Prior to becoming a
teacher,
I worked for 2 years as an instructional aide for PUSD in the ESS program at
Sunset Hills.
I have also worked for the U.S. Postal Office for 6 years, specifically as an
On-the-Job Instructor for 2 of the years.
I attended UCSD
for my B.A. degree, majoring in Economics
and
I am also a graduate of the Teacher Education
Program.
