Orchestra Concert Schedule 2011-12

Below is the list of concerts and performances for the 2011-12 school year.  Be sure and mark the dates and times on your family calendar and remember that unexcused absences will result in a lowered grade.  Concerts are considered final exams and therefore attendance mandatory.  Concert attire is black and white and explained in more detail under the hyperlink "concert attire and procedure".  All orchestra students will be required to meet in the lobby of  the Poway Center for the Performing Arts (located on the campus of Poway High School) at least 15-20 minutes prior to concert start time for tuning and warm-up.  All students must be accompanied by an adult who remains for the duration of the program.  The concerts should be no more than one hour in length or as listed below.  A DVD will be made of all orchestra concerts throughout the year and be made available for purchase through Old Harbor Video.com.

The concert schedule and site schedule for the 2011-12 school year will be posted in mid June.  Please check back then for our future schedule.

BERNARDO HEIGHTS MIDDLE SCHOOL        

    *6th Grade Orchestra

          Wednesday,  November 16th        6:30-7:00 pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts

          Tuesday and Wednesday        December 13th  BHMS Holiday Concerts (during the school day)

          Tuesday,  May 29th               6:30-7:00 pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts

    *Advanced 7/8th Grade Orchestra                          

           Wednesday,  November 16th       7:30-8:30 pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts

           Tuesday, December 13th       BHMS Holiday Concerts (during the school day)

           Saturday, March3rd             Palomar Symphony Concert 4pm at the PCPA (optional)

                                                        information for this concert is listed on Learning Point-students participating in the orchestra will

                                                        receive extra credit.  Students will need to either play, attend the concert or volunteer to usher.

           Sunday,   March 4th              11:00am-2:00 pm Festival Concert at the Poway Center with Jung-Ho Pak

           Tuesday,  May 29th              7:30-8:30 pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts Center
